Abilio Domínguez pinta y seduce con la imagen. Conocer las obras de Abilio supone volver a recorrerlas incansablemente para saber en cual de ellas se hace posible la transformación y te quedas atrapada en una de sus telas, en alguna de sus veladuras como retales satinados. En cual te llegas a convertir no en el ojo que mira sino en el que te mira a ti y se esconde tras una gama estudiada de colores que armonizan. La trayectoria de Abilio no abandona lo figurativo que recrea desde una nueva óptica y esta abstracción serena solo nos avisa que esta vez ha vedado el terreno y ha formado La Huella del Paso como colofón y reflexión porque es un momento maduro. Busca la síntesis de lo ya conocido con un nuevo aprendizaje que proyecta en una temática más audaz y coherente como exposición abierta y directa a los sentidos del espectador. La imagen pintada no trata tanto de mostrar sino de ser vista y de encontrarse con un lugar de fascinación o de seducción donde jugar al escondite con algunos de sus rostros de claro y visceral dibujo que a veces aparecen en ella y que en otras queda reducida a simples ojos como iconos referentes a la viveza latente en cada obra. Otra vertiente en la serie de trabajos de Abilio es la presentación de un colorido que envuelve el terreno y lo presenta cuidando una paleta que maneja con soltura y que además sabe hacérnoslo llegar con una amplia gama que nos lleva desde un "Gris Quemado" hasta un "Sobre rosas" para subirnos por el verde de una inesperada mata de hiedra o nos esconde un rostro tras un color turquesa que tiene tanto protagonismo como la propia imagen o significado de la obra. Palabras para Abilio no son otras que: color, ráfagas de misterio vedado y la mirada interrogante pero tranquila del que se sepa reconocer en ellas.
